After college she entered the nonprofit sector, working from 2011\u20112015 as Director of Development and Public Relations for the Tammy Lynn Center, a service provider for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has introduced bills for paid parental leave, free tax\u2011return assistance programs, and veteran tax credits, and has worked bipartisan to protect services for people with disabilities\u301018\u2020L5-L9\u3011.\n\nCrawford\u2019s community involvement extends beyond the legislature.  She serves on the Ministry Leadership Team at her church, is a board advisor for the North Carolina State University School of Public and International Affairs, and previously sat on the board of a nonprofit serving victims of domestic violence\u301016\u2020L9-L12\u3011.
