Angela Gail Ryan, who filed under the name "Angie Ryan," is the Republican candidate for the Vance County Board of Commissioners District 3 seat in the 2026 election. She was one of two candidates -- alongside Democrat Charisse Meadows Fain -- to file for the seat by the December 19, 2025 filing deadline 1.
Career
Before her candidacy, Ryan addressed the Vance County Board of Commissioners during a January 2025 public budget hearing. When Commissioner Dan Brummitt briefly stood up and stepped away from his seat, Ryan paused her remarks to the board, saying she would wait for his return: "We need to be heard and I want to make sure that I am" 2.
