Cheri Siler-Mack is a sitting judge on the Cumberland County District Court in North Carolina's 12th Judicial District and was a Democratic candidate for the North Carolina District Court, District 14, Seat 5 in the 2026 primary election. Siler-Mack earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science (minor in public administration/criminal justice) from North Carolina Central University in 1987 and a Juris Doctor from the university's School of Law in 1991, gaining admission to the North Carolina bar that same year 111.
Her legal career began in the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office in 1992, where she rose to senior assistant district attorney and was assigned to the Family Court, handling cases involving children and families 111. In 2014 she was elected to the bench of the 12th Judicial District, defeating J. Duane Gilliam, Jr. with 59% of the vote, and was re-elected in 2018, continuing to serve in that capacity 1.
