Jonathan Rummel

Current office and 2026 campaign

Jonathan Rummel is a Republican Party nominee for Robertson County Commission, District 3, on the August 6, 2026 county general ballot, which elects two commissioners for the district ¹. He is a sitting District 3 commissioner ². In his campaign for the seat he has called for upgrading the county's bond rating to AAA, raising the income limit on the property-tax freeze for seniors, and expediting TDOT safety improvements on Highway 76 ⁴.

Background and education

Rummel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee ⁴.

Career

Rummel served as chief of staff to the Tennessee Secretary of State; his campaign describes the role as spanning about a decade within twelve years at the office, in which he managed a department staff of roughly 300, worked with the State Funding Board during Tennessee's AAA bond-rating upgrade, and oversaw construction of the State Library and Archives building ⁴. He co-owns Chic Artique, a home decor and custom-furniture retail store, with his wife Jenna ⁴.

Rummel won a District 3 commission seat in the August 2022 election, leading the field with 455 votes in the two-seat race ³.
