Career
Boomershine spent more than two decades with the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, where he was hired in 1985, and has taught criminal justice at Sullivan East High School 21.
Office history
He previously served as the Sullivan County commissioner for District 5 from 2010 to 2014, and in 2014 he ran for Sullivan County sheriff 2.
