Wilbernetta Ramona Allen, who goes by Ramona, is a Democratic candidate for one of two seats on the Alamance County Board of Commissioners in the 2026 general election 1.
Background and education
Allen was born on December 17, 1966, in Burlington, Alamance County, and graduated from Cummings High School in 1985 1. She attended Liberty University beginning in 2009, majoring in Religion with a minor in Evangelism, and earned a CNA certificate from Alamance Community College in 1990 1. Her additional training includes a Renal Technician program at DaVita University and a MedTech certificate from Davidson County Community College in 1991 1.
Career
Allen works as a property manager for subsidized multi-family housing 1. She also serves as a chaplain for the Alamance County Sheriff's Department and is active in Democratic Women, the Democratic Party, the League of Women Voters, and the Down Home organization 1.
