Robert Colon is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate seat in North Carolina. He ran in the March 3, 2026 Democratic primary against former Governor Roy Cooper and other candidates. He is based in Rocky Point, in Pender County.
Colon's campaign emphasized public safety, immigration law enforcement, peace, and tax reform. He expressed the view that the country had become overly bureaucratic and that elected leaders should represent the interest of ordinary people.
Colon is a family caregiver. He has run for federal office on multiple prior occasions, including a 2020 Democratic primary for North Carolina's 7th Congressional District. He is a civic volunteer and has served as an Eagle Scout, Assistant Scoutmaster, and USO member. He has received the Governor's Award for Volunteer Service.
