Sammy Dale McNeill is a candidate for the Moore County Board of Education, District III, in the November 2026 general election. McNeill resides in Robbins, NC, and filed his candidacy on December 18, 2025.
Career
McNeill served as Chief of the Moore County Schools Police Department, one of only a handful of school district police forces in North Carolina. He was largely responsible for a number of security improvements at schools and credited with achieving a 27 percent decline in school crime during the department's early years. He retired as police chief in early 2016.
