Anthony Ryan Morrow is a Republican candidate for the Rutherford County Board of Commissioners District 1 in North Carolina. He ran in the March 3, 2026 Republican primary against four other candidates.
Career
Morrow is an attorney running the Law Office of Anthony R. Morrow in Rutherfordton, NC, handling criminal defense, DWI, traffic, and family law matters in Western North Carolina. He enlisted in the US Navy at age 17, was trained as a Yeoman, and was assigned to the USS George Washington (CVN 73) homeported in Norfolk, Virginia, completing two Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf deployments in 2002 and 2004. After graduating from law school, he joined the Cook County (Illinois) State's Attorney's Office as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Child Protective Services Division. He later served as a staff attorney with the Burke County Department of Social Services in NC, litigating child protective services cases.
