Jason Lee Barker ran as a Republican candidate for the Jones County Board of Education at-large seat in the March 3, 2026 primary, one of five Republicans competing for three seats on the November ballot 1. He received 367 votes, finishing fourth among the five candidates -- behind Debbie Philyaw (649), Lisa Byrd (633), and Charles "Chance" Gray III (560), and ahead of Glenda "Susie" Weston (212) 1. Only the top three Republican finishers advanced; Barker did not advance to the November 3, 2026 general-election ballot 1.
