Rebecca Kate McCall is the incumbent Republican commissioner for Henderson County, North Carolina, representing District 4 and is seeking re‑election in the November 3, 2026 general election. She currently serves her second four‑year term, which began after she was sworn in on December 3, 2018 and is set to expire in December 2026【3】.

Born June 15, 1956, McCall grew up in the county and graduated from East Henderson High School. She pursued further studies at Blue Ridge Community College and attended both Brevard College and Montreat College【3】. She is married to Ernest W. McCall Sr., has three children and seven grandchildren【3】.

Before entering public service, McCall built a career in the lighting industry. She worked for GE Lighting Inc. from 1991 to 2001 and later for Hubbell Lighting Inc., retiring in 2017 after a 14‑year tenure【3】. Her professional involvement included leadership roles such as Vice Chairman of the Lighting Division of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and past membership in the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA)【3】.

McCall’s civic engagement includes membership in the Hendersonville Lions Club, participation in Bethel Wesleyan Church, and being a charter member of the Upsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Blue Ridge Community College【3】. In 2022 she ran as the Republican candidate for the Henderson County Board of Commissioners District 4, appearing on the November 8, 2022 ballot【1】. She was also elected to serve as a District Director for the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC)【4】.
