Mike Kittrell is not currently a Roane County Commissioner; he previously ran for the District 2 seat in August 2022 and received 387 votes 1. He won a seat in the May 5, 2026 Republican primary for County Commission District 2 (a three-seat district) with 821 votes, finishing third among three Republican candidates 2. He advances to a contested August 6, 2026 general election against sitting District 2 commissioners Brad Goss (independent), Greg Ferguson (independent), and Junior Hendrickson (Republican), plus fellow GOP primary winner Chris Ahler, for the district's three seats 23.
