Mike Kittrell is not currently a Roane County Commissioner; he previously ran for the District 2 seat in August 2022 and received 387 votes 1. He won a seat in the May 5, 2026 Republican primary for County Commission District 2 (a three-seat district) with 821 votes, finishing third among three Republican candidates 2. He advances to a contested August 6, 2026 general election against sitting District 2 commissioners Brad Goss (independent), Greg Ferguson (independent), and Junior Hendrickson (Republican), plus fellow GOP primary winner Chris Ahler, for the district's three seats 23.
Business interests and wealth source
Kittrell owns Roane County Tire, which opened in Harriman in 2023 next door to his other business, Big Mike's Motors 4. Per the Mountain Press, his family's tire-business roots go back roughly 35 years, tracing to his father having run a tire store when Kittrell was growing up 4.
