Junior Hendrickson is the sitting Roane County Commissioner for District 2, a three-seat district. He won renomination in the May 5, 2026 Republican primary with 849 votes, finishing second among three Republican candidates 1. He faces a contested August 6, 2026 general election against fellow incumbents Brad Goss and Greg Ferguson (both independents) and non-incumbent Republican primary winners Chris Ahler and Mike Kittrell for the district's three seats 12.

Legislative record and accomplishments
In July 2022, Hendrickson was one of three District 2 commissioners (with Randy Ellis and Greg Ferguson) who introduced a county resolution to halt funding to Roanenet, a nonprofit, after its Facebook page was used to solicit votes for a county commission candidate whose spouse co-founded the group - activity the resolution said conflicted with IRS restrictions on political-campaign activity by tax-exempt organizations 5.
