Dansie's campaign, which he titled "Courage Over Socialism," was organized around priorities including strengthening families, law and order, reducing pharmaceutical dependency in mental health treatment, ending welfare dependency, dismantling federal bureaucracy by returning power to states, and protecting children from ideology in schools. He drew on the economic philosophy of Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell in framing his positions on limited government and fiscal discipline.
Dansie grew up in Utah. He served in the United States Army in Army intelligence before pursuing a civilian career.
After military service, Dansie built a career as a network security engineer working in enterprise-level cybersecurity. He also pursued entrepreneurship.
