Donnie Loftis

Donnie Loftis is the incumbent Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives for District 109 and is seeking re‑election in the November 3, 2026 general election. He was appointed to the seat on October 20, 2021 by the Gaston County Republican Party after the death of Rep. Dana Bumgardner and was sworn in on November 1, 2021; his current term runs until January 1, 2027【1†L1-L4】【1†L9-L11】. Loftis’ career began with a 30‑year military service. He served in the United States Army and the North Carolina Army National Guard, retiring as an E‑8 (Master Sergeant).
