He received 1,262 votes, finishing outside the top three; incumbents Rhonda Taylor (2,117 votes), Marjorie Edwards (1,996 votes), and Catherine B. Moody (1,655 votes) won the three seats 1.

Harding previously ran in the 2022 Democratic primary for Northampton County Board of Commissioners District 5, one of two challengers — along with Republican Caroline M. Long — to incumbent Kelvin Edwards 2.
