Current office and 2026 campaign
Chris Lehman is the sitting Roane County Commissioner for District 1, a three-seat district 1. He won renomination in the May 5, 2026 Republican primary with 876 votes, finishing second among five Republican candidates for the district's three seats 2. Because no Democratic or independent candidate qualified for District 1, Lehman and fellow winners Ron Berry and Randy Kirby face no opposition on the August 6, 2026 general-election ballot 32.
Office history
Lehman has represented District 1 on the Roane County Commission for the term running September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2026 1, and serves on several commission committees, including the Broadband/Cable TV, Courthouse Security, Ethics, Fire Board, Sheriff's Liaison, and American Rescue Plan committees 4.
