She runs on well-planned growth, stronger infrastructure, transparency, and responsive local government; her decision to run was shaped by advocating for her neighborhood after severe flooding in 2025 1.
Background and career
Bruens is a public health educator with more than 15 years of leadership experience across public health, housing, property management, hospitality, and community services, including grant funding and budget management 1. She is a member of Leadership Clarksville's Class of 2026, was selected for Leadership CMCSS Class of 2027, and is active in the Clarksville Rotary Club 1.
