Jennifer Fitzgerald is a native Memphian and a second-generation criminal defense attorney. Jennifer has nearly 15 years of experience serving the Memphis community as an attorney and community leader. Jennifer has an extensive background in representing defendants in federal and state courts in Tennessee. Jennifer is a 2000 graduate of Kirby High School. In 2004, she earned a degree in Criminology Cum Laude from Arkansas State University. After completing her undergraduate degree, she returned to Memphis to study law at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Since graduating from law school, Jennifer has worked in private practice in criminal law. Jennifer currently works alongside her father, Attorney Larry Fitzgerald, as a principal attorney at Fitzgerald, Harris, and Fitzgerald where she represents and defends clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors in state and federal courts. Jennifer also works as a contract attorney for the City of Memphis where she represents the City of Memphis in prosecuting traffic and code violations.
?Jennifer is currently an active member of the National Bar Association and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Jennifer is passionate about using her experiences to ensure everyone who steps into the courtroom feels valued, heard, and treated with dignity and respect.
She is a member of New Direction Christian Church, where she served as a greeter and Girl Scout Leader for several years. Her father, Attorney Larry Fitzgerald, inspired her to pursue a career within the law.
