Greg Marion is a Republican candidate for Hancock County Mayor on the August 6, 2026 county-general ballot. He announced his candidacy on March 11, 2026 via a "Greg Marion for Hancock County Mayor" Facebook page, writing: "After many conversations with friends and neighbors across Hancock County, and with the support of my family, I've decided to run for Hancock County Mayor in the 2026 election." His campaign message is "It's time for a change" 1.

In his announcement, Marion said he previously served in Hancock County public office from 2002 to 2010, stating "It was an honor to serve from 2002-2010, and I'm ready to work for our county again." The announcement did not specify which office he held 1.
