Anthony Johnson is the incumbent Republican member of the Rutherford County Commission representing District 11.12 He is seeking re-election on the August 6, 2026 county general ballot against Democrat Wayne Sharpe.2
Office history
Johnson previously served on the Rutherford County Commission for 17 years before losing his seat in 2010.3 He returned to the commission in 2022, winning the Republican primary and running unopposed in that year's general election, and again holds the District 11 seat in the 2026 election cycle.123
