Carl Boyd is the incumbent Rutherford County Commissioner for District 12 and is seeking re-election in 2026 as a Republican 1. Boyd, a self-described conservative Republican, says he is running because "we have to keep our property taxes as low as possible so our residents can afford to live here" and points to the need to "continue searching for innovative ways to control costs and growth to maintain our quality of life" 1.
