The Honorable Circuit Court Judge Cedrick D. Wooten is a proud lifelong Memphian and a graduate of Melrose High School. Judge Wooten has two Bachelor’s Degrees from LeMoyne-Owen College, a Master’s Degree from the University of Mississippi, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Before completing law school, Judge Wooten had the distinct honor of clerking for the Honorable George H. Brown and the Honorable Jerry Stokes in the Shelby County Circuit Court, Division 6. He was an associate attorney at the Orange Law Firm until opening his own law office in 2006, after which he remained a senior partner at Humphrey & Wooten, PLLC, until 2017 where he then transitioned back to public service as the chief administrative officer for the Shelby County Criminal Court and Circuit Court Clerks offices. He now serves as your Shelby County Circuit Court judge for Division 6.
