Ronnie Goodwin is a Democratic nominee for one of two DeKalb County Commission seats in District 3 in the August 6, 2026 general election, running with fellow Democrat Jack Barton, Republicans Bradley Hendrix and Don Rigsby, and independent Eden Nokes 12. He was nominated in the May 5, 2026 Democratic primary 3. Announcing his campaign in October 2025, Goodwin said his central concerns are rising county property taxes, what he described as "mismanagement and unneeded spending" reflected in frequent budget amendments, and his opposition to construction of a new prison/jail facility, noting that county voters rejected it in a referendum 4.
