Philip Chadwick is the incumbent Republican member of the Dickson County School Board, District 4 (which covers commission districts 8 and 9), seeking re-election on the August 6, 2026 county-general ballot 12. He won the May 5, 2026 Republican primary with 458 votes (98.07%) 1 and faces independent challenger Christy Daniels in the general election 2. Chadwick has said, "I put our education system up against any other education system in the state. Our students do well in testing, we just have great educators," and has made teacher retention a priority, noting that many educators leave after about 25 years for higher-paying jobs in neighboring districts 3.
