Beasley is a veteran of the Tipton County Sheriff's Office with roughly 30 years in the department, including service as Chief Deputy, the office's second-in-command, under then-Sheriff Pancho Chumley.23 When Chumley retired in 2021 after 15 years as sheriff, Beasley assumed the role of sheriff effective September 1, 2021, and was subsequently elected to the office in the August 2022 county general election.3
