Monique Williams was appointed to fill Bartlett Alderman Position 4 in August 2023. Monique has lived in Bartlett since 2011. She has one adult daughter, Breonna Monet’, who graduated from St. Benedict High School and furthered her education at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.
Monique grew up in the Rozelle-Annesdale area of Memphis, TN. She graduated from Central High School in 1992. Monique received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Christian Brothers University as well as a Masters degree in Health Service Administration from Central Michigan University.
Monique spent over 25 years in the Clinical Research Industry working for organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Eli Lilly, GlaxoSmithKine, AstraZeneca, NovoNordisk, Pfizer, GBT, and more. She held several key positions managing and overseeing national and global projects including the day to day operations, logistics, budgets, and management of external service providers (third party vendors).
Monique has assisted and created opportunities to provide charitable donations for Toys for Tots, the Lupus Foundation of America, Mid-south Chapter, and other non-profit entities throughout the Mid-south. She also served as the Memphis Walk to End Lupus Now™ Coordinator from 2018-2021.
Monique is what you call a serial entrepreneur/restaurateur as she has started or assisted in starting numerous businesses in the Mid-south area over the last 11 years. She is the creator and operation’s owner of Biscuits & Jams (Breakfast, Brunch, and Lunch) restaurant located in Bartlett Station. Monique currently serves as a Commissioner on the Bartlett Station Commission.
