Andrew Mitchell is a Republican candidate for Williamson County Commission District 1 (Fairview), a two-member district, and advanced from the May 5, 2026 primary to the August 6 general election 12. His top three priorities are protecting agricultural heritage and farmland from overdevelopment, ensuring law enforcement and first responders are well equipped, and keeping Williamson County Schools well funded 1.
Background
Mitchell is a combat veteran who served six years in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne 1. He and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Fairview 1.
Career and community involvement
He serves on the City of Fairview Board of Zoning Appeals and is a member of the Franklin Rotary at Noon, American Legion Fairview Post 248, Disabled American Veterans, and is a lifetime NRA member; he volunteers as scorekeeper for Fairview High School athletics 1.
