Donna Savage is an incumbent Overton County Commissioner for District 5 (Hilham, Hardy's Chapel, and Fairgrounds) and an independent candidate for re-election on the August 6, 2026 county general ballot, where District 5 elects three commissioners 123. She says serving the community "means listening, working hard, and doing what's best for the people," and pledges to remain "accessible, treating everyone with respect" 1.

Career

Savage has worked as a hairdresser in the 5th district for many years and says that through it she has "built lasting relationships with generations of residents and developed a deep understanding of the people and values that make this community so special" 1.

Legislative record and accomplishments

Savage cites involvement with fire departments and community centers, securing and supporting grants that benefit local organizations, funding for local food pantries, and helping "secure resources through the opiod [opioid] settlement to support programs addressing addiction, recovery, and the long term well being of Overton County residents" 1.

Family

She is married to Tim Savage of Hilham; the couple, married 37 years, has one daughter, Brittany Rogers, and two grandchildren 1.
