Jordan Rouden is an independent candidate for District 9 on the Maury County Commission in the August 6, 2026 county general election 1. Rouden publicly opposed the proposed Crosswaters Reserve mixed-use development in the Santa Fe area, telling the county commission it was "essentially a small town being dropped in" and did not fit "the rural character of Maury County," adding, "This is Franklin, this is Brentwood, this is Williamson County." 2 He argued the development's scale would leave the county "paying for this mismatch for generations" despite promised economic growth, and noted its covenants would prohibit activities such as yard sales, car repairs, and open-carrying firearms 2.
