Lee Ann Dobson
Collierville Municipal Judge elected 2022-08-06 2022-09-01 to 2030-09-01

Collierville Municipal Judge Lee Ann Pafford Dobson took the Oath of Office August 30, 2022, after running unopposed in the August election. The oath was administered in the Collierville Courthouse by the Honorable Deborah Henderson, Judge of Shelby County General Sessions, Division IV.

“Judge Dobson is a model of judicial temperament,” said Court Clerk Patrick Lafferty. “She’s tough on crime but is fair and compassionate. She treats everyone in this courtroom with respect and dignity.”

Mayor Stan Joyner also shared kind remarks about Judge Dobson on behalf of the Mayor and Aldermen for their partnership in Town government. In addition to local elected officials, court staff, members of law enforcement, colleagues, and family were there to support Judge Dobson.

Judge Dobson has served as the Collierville Municipal Court Judge since January 14, 2019, after being appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. She started serving by appointment after Judge William Craig Hall passed away in December of 2018. Judge Hall was elected to an eight-year term in 2014, which expired in 2022. The Town’s charter called for an election to be held to fill the position at the general election, which was in August 2020. Judge Dobson was elected in 2020 and served until 2022, when another election for an eight-year term was held.
