Randy L. Kirby is the sitting Roane County Commissioner for District 1, a three-seat district 1. He won renomination in the May 5, 2026 Republican primary with 718 votes, finishing third among five Republican candidates for the district's three seats 2. Because no Democratic or independent candidate qualified for District 1, Kirby and fellow winners Ron Berry and Chris Lehman face no opposition on the August 6, 2026 general-election ballot 32.

Kirby has represented District 1 on the Roane County Commission for the term running September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2026 1, and serves on several commission committees, including the Committee on Committees, Emergency Services, Fire Board, Personnel, Public Records, Road, and Sports Recreation committees 4.
