Jeff Cole is the incumbent Anderson County Clerk, seeking re-election in the Republican primary ahead of the Aug. 6, 2026 general election 12.
Cole is a lifelong Anderson County resident and a graduate of Clinton High School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Carson-Newman College and is a Certified Public Administrator, having completed the University of Tennessee's Local Government Leadership Program 3.
Cole served as President of the Tennessee County Clerks Association in 2015–2016 and received the association's "County Clerk of the Year" award; Clinton Courier News readers voted him "Best Local Politician" in 2008. He serves on the Board of Directors of the County Officials Association and is active in the Anderson County and Rocky Top chambers of commerce 3.
