Jane Chedester

Jane Chedester is a Republican candidate running for State Executive Committeewoman District 6 in the Knox County jurisdiction during the 2026 Tennessee Republican Primary [1]. The primary election is scheduled for August 6, 2026 [1].

Prior to this candidacy, Chedester served as an electoral elector for the state of Tennessee. In December 2024, she was one of the presidential electors chosen by the Tennessee Republican Party’s executive committee to cast ballots for Donald J. Trump and JD Vance in the Electoral College, representing Congressional District 2 [5].

Chedester has a long history of service within the Republican party in East Tennessee. She is identified as a longtime staffer for former U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander [11].
