Tracy Wandell is an Independent candidate for Anderson County Commission District 1 in Tennessee, running in the August 6, 2026, primary 1. He currently serves as the incumbent Commissioner for District 1 3. The Anderson County Commission consists of sixteen commissioners elected from eight districts, with two representatives per district 4. Following the vote, Wandell and Anderson questioned the cost of the shelter and its financing method, which relied on a low-interest U.S. Department of Agriculture loan rather than a county tax increase 22.
