John K. Crawford is a Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives representing District 1, which covers Sullivan County in the Kingsport area. He has served since November 2016 and has been re-elected through the 113th General Assembly.
Crawford serves on multiple House committees and has received the National Association of Secretaries of State Medallion Award in 2020 and Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry Awards in 2018 and 2019.
Crawford was born on November 29, 1967. He attended Kingsport Christian School.
Crawford has served for 18 years in the Kingsport Police Department Reserve Program, rising to the rank of captain. He served on the Sullivan County Commission from 2002 to 2006 and again from 2010 to 2016, during which he served as Past Chairman Pro-Tem and chaired the Administrative Committee, Pre-Hospital Care Committee, and Emergency Service Committee.
Crawford is a 32nd Degree Mason and Past Master of Masonic Lodge No. 688 and is a member of the NRA.
He is married to LeAnn Crawford and has one daughter, Jessica. The family is Baptist.
