Tom Tunnicliffe is a Republican incumbent seeking re-election to the Williamson County Commission from District 7 (Brentwood area), a two-member district 12. In the May 5, 2026 Republican primary he took 38.16% of the vote, second to Nancy Bailey (38.57%) and ahead of fellow incumbent Christopher Richards (23.27%), and advanced to the August 6 general election 13. Tunnicliffe and Bailey ran an allied campaign with a joint March 2026 kickoff 1.

Tunnicliffe was elected to the county commission in 2018 and re-elected in 2022 1.
Background and community involvement
He has lived in Williamson County since 2003 and has two children who attended Scales Elementary, Brentwood Middle, and Brentwood High School 1. He is active in the Brentwood Noon Rotary, serves on the Williamson County Executive Fair Board, and volunteers with Operation BBQ Relief 1.
