Fren'Cherry R. Miller is an independent candidate for Madison County Mayor on the August 6, 2026 general-election ballot, challenging Republican incumbent A.J. Massey.12 His campaign, themed "People Over Politics. Humanity First," emphasizes education and career/technical training, accessible healthcare, youth programs and mentorship, senior services, and infrastructure and economic growth.1 He has said his top goal is "a more streamlined government where all the people feel like they care and that they matter," and his campaign notes he would be Jackson–Madison County's first African American mayor.3

Miller says he was born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee.1
Career
According to his campaign, Miller served nearly 30 years in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as a Master Sergeant after leading Marines around the world, and has built businesses and served as a volunteer chaplain supporting wounded service members.1 He describes himself as "a servant-leader" and "a decorated Marine."1
