Current office and 2026 campaign

Tim Williamson is the incumbent Cheatham County commissioner for District 2, in the Ashland City area, and one of two Republican nominees on the August 6, 2026 county-general ballot for the district's two seats. District 2 is a "Vote For TWO" contest that also includes Republican Randy Noe, Democrat Aric Storck, and independent Amber Y. Locke 12. His stated platform emphasizes "common sense voting and working together to keep Cheatham County a Great place to live" 3.

Williamson has lived in Cheatham County for 34 years and has been involved with the East Cheatham Athletic Association for 18 years 4.

Office history

Williamson was elected to the Cheatham County School Board in 2008 and 2012, and to the County Commission in 2014 and 2018. As a commissioner he has served as Vice Chair and as chairman of the education committee 4.
