Jason C. Compton is an incumbent Jackson-Madison County School Board member and the Republican nominee for School Board District 4 (Position 2) in the August 6, 2026 election.12 He serves as the board's vice chairman and chairs its athletics committee.1
Compton graduated from Huntingdon High School in Huntingdon, Tennessee, in 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Tennessee in 2001.1
He was elected to the Jackson-Madison County School Board in August 2022, and previously served about seven years on the Madison County Commission.1
During his board tenure, the Jackson-Madison County School System was named Tennessee School Board of the Year by the Tennessee School Boards Association in 2025.13 Compton is active in civic organizations, including as a past president of the Jackson Exchange Club and of the Tennessee District Exchange Clubs.1
