Danny Grooms is the incumbent Maury County Commissioner for District 10 1. He represents southwest Maury County 4. Grooms registered as a Republican candidate (listed "R-incumbent") for re-election to the District 10 seat on the August 6, 2026 county general ballot, in a four-candidate field that also includes Republican Greg Combs and independents Diane Davis and Tommy Wolaver 2.
Career
Grooms works for the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) on state roads 5. Speaking on county road-safety matters, he described Carters Creek Pike as "a dangerous road" because of its narrow lanes and lack of shoulders 5.

Grooms has served as District 10 commissioner since 2022 1. One cited local-radio recap describes him leading a county commission meeting that allowed the ethics committee to appoint officials and identifies him as "County Commission Chairman" at that time 3; another source from the same outlet identifies a different commissioner, Kevin Markham, as "Commission Chairman" 5. The two sources conflict and it is unclear whether this reflects a chairmanship rotation between meetings or an error in one account, so no firm chairmanship claim is made here.
