Frederick Bertrand Adams II is a District Court Judge for Judicial District 21, which serves Forsyth County, North Carolina. He was appointed to the court by Governor Roy Cooper on September 30, 2021, filling the vacancy created by the departure of Judge Lisa V. Menefee.
Background and education
Adams earned his Bachelor of Science from Bluefield College and his Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law.
Career
Before his judicial appointment, Adams was the principal owner of a private law practice in Winston-Salem. He had previously practiced at Crumley and Associates, P.C. and at Womble Carlyle Sandridge and Rice LLP. In addition to his private practice, he served as an adjunct professor at Winston-Salem State University. At the time of his appointment he also held the position of Secretary for the 31st Judicial District Bar.
