Kathryn Passons Adcock is the incumbent White County Trustee, seeking reelection in the 2026 general election.12 She was first elected trustee in 2018 and reelected in 2022.2

Background and education

A lifelong White County resident, Adcock grew up on a farm in the Hickory Valley community, where she says she learned "hard work, to have compassion for others, and to cherish the closeness of family."2 She attended Doyle Elementary School and White County middle and high schools, then earned an education degree from Tennessee Technological University in 1993.2

Career

Adcock taught at White County Middle School for 25 years before her 2018 election as trustee.2 As trustee, she is responsible for collecting county property taxes, maintaining payment records, and informing qualified taxpayers about income-based tax relief programs for seniors, people with disabilities, and disabled veterans.12
