Mary Elizabeth Lucas was a Democratic candidate for NC State House District 50 (Caswell and Orange counties). She ran in the March 3, 2026 Democratic primary but lost to incumbent Renée Price, 3,039 votes (22.1%) to Price's 10,189 votes (74.0%); a third candidate, Brandall Redd, received 539 votes (3.9%). Lucas will not appear on the November 2026 general-election ballot 3.
