He is a commercial real\u2011estate and land\u2011use attorney who founded Lee\u202f|\u202fKaess, PLLC (formerly Lee Law Firm) in 2012 after a decade at a large southeastern firm, and the practice now operates offices in Wilmington, Raleigh and Dallas, Texas [16][17].\n\nLee first entered the North Carolina Senate in August\u202f2014, appointed to fill a vacancy in District\u202f9, and won election to that seat in 2016.
