{"biography":"Jack Young was appointed to fill Bartlett\u2019s Alderman Position 5 in 1999, and has been elected or re-elected to that position six consecutive times. The latest being in November, 2020. Jack and his wife, Susan, have been married 50 years. They have owned a home in Bartlett since 1976. Jack has lived in the Bartlett area since 1965 and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1967. Jack also graduated from Memphis State University in 1971 with a degree in Business Administration.\n\n\n\nJack and Susan have two daughters. Missy is married to Kevin Wilkes, and they have two daughters, Maddie (14), Harper (7) and a son Turner (11). Megan is married to David Williams, and has a daughter Aubry (8), and a son Austin (7). They all live in Bartlett and both girls are graduates of Bartlett High School.\n\n\n\nJack is retired as Facility Director for the Spinal and Biologics division of Medtronic. He serves on the following committees: Planning Commission, Contracts Committee and also chairs the Grievance Review Board. Jack also serves as Vice-Mayor.
