James Fitz Randolph is a District Court Judge for Judicial District 27, which serves Rowan County, North Carolina. He was first elected to the bench in November 2014, defeating Ted Blanton with 52.4 percent of the vote.
Background and education
Randolph earned his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and his Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He was admitted to the practice of law in 1990.
Career
Before his election to the bench, Randolph practiced with the firm Kluttz, Reamer, Hayes, Randolph, Adkins and Carter, LLP in Rowan County.
Randolph served as a board member and past president of Rowan County United Way. He also served as a former chairman of the board of directors for Rowan Helping Ministries.
