She holds a bachelor's degree from Strayer University (2005), a graduate degree from Villanova University (2015), and a second graduate degree from the Chicago Theological Seminary (2023). She is currently pursuing a doctorate at Duke Divinity School.\n\n## Career\nHedgepeth has two decades of experience in higher education administration and currently serves as a divisional human resources director at UNC-Chapel Hill.
