Maria Partin won the Republican nomination for Campbell County Clerk in the May 2026 primary with 2,256 votes (54.92%), defeating Lance J. Wilson (1,852 votes, 45.08%) 1. She advances to face independent candidate Tyler King in the August 6, 2026 county general election 1.
Career
Per her campaign's candidacy announcement, Partin has more than 25 years of experience working in the Campbell County Clerk's office and "knows how the office should operate efficiently" 2. Her campaign described her as having "comprehensive knowledge, extensive experience, and a proven track record of performing all aspects of the county clerk's office functions," and said she would focus on friendly, efficient service, staff retention, and around-the-clock convenience for citizens 2.
After her primary win, Partin said: "I just want to say from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! I know I have THE BEST supporters there is." 1
