Bulmon ran unopposed in the May 5, 2026 Republican primary, receiving 94 votes 2. The seat became open when incumbent Tyler Chandler, elected in 2022, chose not to seek reelection to focus on his new role as Mt. Juliet's police chief 1. Bulmon faces Democrat Samuel McNaron in the general election 13.
